Greetings! Since AI is trending, I thought I’d write a post about it.
Buying a reliable car does not always mean signing up for a large monthly car payment.
Sometimes the better goal is what I call an “older person car.” You know the kind: well-maintained, low mileage, gently driven, and hopefully priced somewhere between $5,000 and $10,000.
The first step is not scrolling through car listings. The first step is figuring out how much you can realistically save.
Ask ChatGPT to help you build a car savings budget. Tell it how much you earn, how often you get paid, what your monthly bills are, how much you already have saved, and whether you want the car within six months or one year.
Then ask:
“How much should I save from every paycheck to reach my car goal?”
For example, to save $5,000:
- In six months, you would need about $834 per month.
- In one year, you would need about $417 per month.
- If you are paid every two weeks, that is about $193 per paycheck for one year.
For a $10,000 goal, those numbers would double.
Also, remember that the price of the car is not the full cost. You may need additional money for taxes, registration, insurance, a mechanic’s inspection, and unexpected repairs.
ChatGPT cannot save money for you, but it can help you organize your numbers and create a plan based on your actual income.
ENTowner Truth: A dependable older car purchased with patience and planning may give you more peace than a newer car with a payment that keeps your budget under pressure.
Do not just say you want a car.
Give the goal a price, a deadline, and a savings amount for each payday.
That’s all for now. Until next time…
